Illogical BNP Foreign Policy and the "Reverend" West

The "Reverend" Robert West is contesting the Norwich North seat for the British National Party in the by-election set for July 23.

The BNP has not contested the seat before, and Robert West said the party was taking on the challenge in that light. “We intend to establish the BNP as a name in the area in order to build for future elections,” he said.

“We will be fighting this by-election on local issues and how they are impacted by the mass immigration invasion of this country,” Robert West explained

Reverend West is moderator of the Christian Council of Britain and a former Conservative councillor who joined the BNP, he says, after it "became clear that the Tories were committed to the Islamification of Britain just like the Labour Party".

In the meantime the leader of the BNP, newly-elected Member of the European Parliament, Nick Griffin, has offered his solution to "mass immigration".

British National Party leader Nick Griffin has told the BBC that the EU should sink boats carrying illegal immigrants to prevent them entering Europe.

Mr Griffin, who has a suspended prison sentence for "inciting racial hatred" said:
"Frankly, they need to sink several of those boats. Anyone coming up with measures like that we'll support but anything which is there as a 'oh, we need to do something about it' but in the end doing something about it means bringing them into Europe' we will oppose."

The MEP for the North-West of England said the EU had to get "very tough" with migrants from sub-Saharan Africa. Pressed on what should happen to those on board, he said: "Throw them a life raft and they can go back to Libya".

Many people would agree that there is a problem with illegal immigration. Britain and Europe are not the only areas that are facing the results of unsustainable population growth and poverty. Human beings in some parts of the world have the stark choice between starving at home or migration.

And yet the illogical and inhumane BNP policy is against any foreign aid for to assist people to stay home.

The BNP is against all efforts of developed countries in assisting in the development of poor countries.

The BNP manifesto states:
"FOREIGN AID - time to spend our money on our own people! We reject the idea that Britain must forever be obliged to subsidise the incompetence and corruption of Third World states by supplying them with financial aid."

The BNP "foreign policy" lacks common sense, let alone any humanity.

So how does the "Reverend" Robert West reconcile these "very tough" BNP policies of hatred and rejection with the Christian message of love?

Jesus once said, according to the Gospels, that a man cannot serve two masters. It would be interesting to learn how the "Reverend" Robert West can serve a hateful political party like the BNP and also serve Jesus as a Christian cleric.

Unfortunately HOPE not hate, Norfolk has not been able to contact the "Reverend" West for his explanation. He has been in Wales giving speeches for the BNP.

Apparently the people of Norwich North are not important enough to meet in his by-election bid.

He seems to be neglecting the electorate, just as he neglects his own Christian Council of Britain website, of which he is founder, moderator, and, according to some, the sole member. The CCoB site's most recent – indeed only – entry on its “Sunday Lunch” blog discusses an article in the Daily Telegraph from November 23, 2007

Could it be that the Christian Council of Britain is a dummy organisation?

If so, what does that make the "Reverend" West?
